Leaptel 2025 Year in Review: A decade of better internet, made possible by you
As 2025 draws to a close, we’ve taken a moment to reflect on everything we’ve achieved together over the past year, and over the decade since Leaptel first began.
This year has brought recognition, milestones and growth, but more importantly, it’s reinforced the belief that has guided us from day one:
Australians deserve better internet.
And thanks to our customers, we’ve been able to prove that again and again.
Putting people first: Winning the Commitment to Customer Service Award
One of our proudest moments this year was being recognised with the 2025 Commitment to Customer Service Award at the Telecommunications Industry Excellence Awards.
This award means a lot to us because it reflects the part of our work that matters the most: being responsive, listening, solving problems quickly, and treating customers like real people — not case numbers.
Every ticket resolved, every call answered, every “thanks, that fixed it” moment is a great win to us, and this is an achievement shared between our team and the customers who trust us every day.
A year of lightning-fast performance: Fastest 1Gbps provider (ACCC)
The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) releases its Measuring Broadband Australia Report every quarter, looking at broadband performance across the country.
In the last four reports (as of 4 September 2025), Leaptel was recognised as the Fastest 1Gbps nbn® provider based on average download speeds across both all hours and busy evening hours.
Independent results across a full year highlighted the things we obsess over behind the scenes: network quality and consistency.
We’re incredibly proud of these results, and even prouder that our customers can experience the difference in their daily lives, whether that’s smoother streaming, lag-free gaming, or better reliability while working from home.
Recognised in the Deloitte Tech Fast 50
In November, Leaptel was ranked #26 in the Deloitte Tech Fast 50, based on significant year-on-year growth.
For us, this isn’t about chasing size or scale. It’s a reflection of Australians choosing:

- Fair pricing
- Local support
- A telco that listens
We’re grateful for the acknowledgement, and even more grateful to our customers for making it possible.
A major community milestone: 70,000 active services
This year, we passed 70,000 active services across Australia.
Our growth hasn’t come through mergers or aggressive acquisition tactics. It’s come from customers choosing us and sticking with us, with many even recommending us to their friends and family.
Every connection matters to us, whether you’re a gamer looking for every bit of performance available, a household working remotely, or a family streaming together after a busy day.
